Overview
In 2022 and 2023, the organizers of the Wacken Open Air decided to deploy a temporary Wi-Fi network covering the entire festival area. The network was to enable smooth internal communications for the organizers and employees. Furthermore, the VIP and press areas were also to be covered by the network, while the payment and video surveillance systems were to be connected to the network as well.
Wacken Open Air worked together with Business IT Kiel to select a suitable Wi-Fi solution for temporary deployment during the festival. As a Cambium Networks partner, the company recommended the installation of Cambium products.
