Cambium Networks celebrates its 6th Anniversary by giving new bicycles to 60 McAuliffe Elementary School children. Building on the tradition it began last year with 50 bicycles for its 5th year in business, Cambium again partnered with the local school to offer what President and CEO Atul Bhatnagar calls “ a gift of independence”.
Putting aside business for a couple of hours, Cambium staff worked together to assemble each bicycle by hand in the Rolling Meadows office. McAuliffe faculty and staff selected recipients who show exceptional interest in community and academic engagement, and who may not otherwise have the opportunity for a bike of their own.
Cambium’s mission to deliver best-in-class Wi-Fi to the world’s unconnected extends to forging connections within the communities they serve. Partnering with McAuliffe to empower Chicago’s diverse future leaders through this outreach project represents an opportunity not only for community involvement, but also for employees across all departments to spend time getting to know one another and building teamwork around an inspiring goal.
