European Union (EU) Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Compliance

Cambium Networks is committed to meeting the requirements of the European Union Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, 2012/19/EU.

This Directive requires producers of electrical and electronic equipment to finance the takeback of WEEE resulting from their products that are placed on the EU market. In line with this commitment, Cambium Networks will take back WEEE.

The WEEE Directive is being implemented in each of the 27 EU countries through national legislation. Norway and Switzerland have also implemented similar pieces of legislation. As the detailed WEEE requirements vary considerably throughout the EU,  Cambium Networks WEEE compliance approach is adapted to comply with regional requirements.

The user also has a role to play in ensuring that WEEE is reused and recycled safely.  The crossed out wheeled-bin symbol on products is a reminder to users not to dispose of WEEE in the bin. If you choose not to return WEEE to Cambium Networks then you must ensure that the WEEE is sent for proper treatment as WEEE may contain hazardous substances that , if not managed and treated safely, can cause pollution and damage to human health.

In each country affected by the WEEE legislation, Cambium Networks customers should raise a return request by opening a support ticket through the Customer Support portal at https://support.cambiumnetworks.com.
